School Governors

It is part of a school governors responsibility to become involved in the life of the school and view the curriculum in practise.  The governors are responsible for  particular areas of the curriculum and we are invited to participate in all aspects of school life.

You may be interested in knowing a little more about our Governing Committees and our roles:

All of the committees exist to be a critical friend to the school and are equally valued.

If you would like more information about Governors Committees, please ask any of our Governing Body.  We work tirelessly (as volunteers) for the good of the school.

Teaching and Learning Committee

This committee discusses the curriculum, standards, revisions of policies and enjoys children attending to talk about their learning.  Teachers present monitoring reports of their subject areas.

Communications and Outreach Committee

This committee works on keeping our prospectus, websiteand school profile up to date.  It also discusses fundraising.

Pay and Personnel Committee

This committee monitors and agrees the school budget and school fund.  It discusses staff appointments and other staff issues such as absence and performance management.

Premises Committee

This committee links with the Finance and Personnel Committee when building projects are planned.  This committee considers day to day issues related to the premises and Health and Safety.

Spirituality Committee

This committee has its own action plan to enable them to monitor, support and develop Christian Ethos, Religious Education and worship.
