Governor's Annual Easter Egg Hunt 2016
“This Joyful Eastertide..”
I can think of no better way to start the Easter holiday than with our annual Easter egg hunt and this year did not disappoint.
On Tuesday, 22nd March we were blessed with lovely weather, and, as you know, whenever the sun shines, everyone feels incredibly light-hearted and buoyant and whatever you are doing, it always seems so much more enjoyable.
This year we sold more tickets than ever and it was lovely to see so many of our families working together, exchanging banter and hoping to complete the answer to the clues in record time, in order to exchange this for their choice of Easter Egg.
Even when the hunt was over, a great many of our families remained on the school field to enjoy talking together whilst their children played in the sunshine. It was also pleasurable to see that you are never too old to enjoy a chocolate egg, even if you a very grown up Year 6 pupil from the Junior School! They always enjoy returning to their Infant roots just to check that nothing has changed too much since they have left, and to exchange memories.
So, in conclusion, thank you so much to all of you who joined us for the afternoon and making it one to remember. I must also say “Thank you” to my fellow governors who helped on the day and also to Mr. Morton and Miss Walker.
